About me
Lynne M. Borden, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Research and Engagement and a Professor for the University of Minnesota Extension. In addition, Dr. Borden directs the Center for Research and Outreach, which utilizes a multidisciplinary approach integrating both research and outreach to support those who work with and on behalf of children, youth, and families. Through a three-fold approach, the Center provides empirical research that identifies and addresses critical issues affecting families and the programs that serve them.
As the principal investigator of the Children, Youth, and Families at Risk Professional Development and Technical Assistance (PDTA) center, she leads the team in all aspects. Dr. Borden’s scholarly work explores the contribution and relationship between multiple contexts, such as structured out-of-school time programs, schools, families, and communities, on the positive development of young people.
